CALYPSO @ FRIGHT FEST - SIX FLAGS MAGIC MOUNTAIN THEME PARK
What’s that you say? You love Halloween and all things FRIGHTFUL?
This year, I returned to my theme park roots (I was a Universal Studios Tour Guide for many years!) by performing at Six Flags Fright Fest, an annual Halloween-themed event at Six Flags Magic Mountain in Valencia, California. The event transforms the park into a haunted, after-hours experience featuring 11 haunted mazes, 9 scare zones, roaming monsters, live shows, and coasters operating in complete darkness.
I attended the world famous Six Flags Scare School and graduated with the creation of my character, Calypso the Sea Witch. You may have caught me enchanting your magic lantern or incanting a spell to raise our fiery canon from the depths of the Bermuda Triangle. Thank you to all the guests who made my experience truly memorable!

Presented as a rare likeness of the fabled Sea Witch, Calypso, said to haunt Six Flags Magic Mountain. The subject is depicted in the hush of night, caught between shadow and tide, her gaze fixed as if to summon the sea itself. Seafarers of the age spoke of her appearing where the wind grows still and the lantern’s flame does not waver — an omen of tempests yet to come.

SWAN LAKE @ BOSTON BALLET (STAGE PRODUCTION)
Yes! It’s true. I was in the Boston Ballet’s latest production of Swan Lake at the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion. But, no, I am not a professional ballet dancer. Instead, members of the LA Opera Performing Company were invited to fill in as Court Ladies and Gentlemen in the production. We did perform a little curtsey and I am happy to share that my fellow LA Opera performers and I had a great time!

GHOSTS OF USC @ UNIVERSITY OF SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA (STAGE PRODUCTION)
I had the great privilege of returning as an Adjunct Faculty Member at the USC School of Dramatic Arts. Our final culmination production, Ghosts of USC, was co-produced by Company of Angels, the oldest non-profit professional equity waiver theater in Los Angeles. Our students worked alongside and were mentored by industry professionals from Disney, Universal, Center Theater Group, Ben Nye, CalTech, The AIAS Foundation (AIASF) and the Themed Entertainment Association. If you are a current USC Student and want to explore Immersive Theater, join us next year! All majors are welcome!

ROMEO AND JULIET @ LOS ANGELES OPERA (STAGE PRODUCTION)
The tragedy, the drama, the costumes! I was invited back this season to play Lady Montague in the Los Angeles Opera’s gorgeous production of Romeo and Juliet. This is my sixth year as a member of the LA Opera performing company and I am so thankful for the opportunity to work with such talented artists from around the world. If you haven’t been to the LA Opera, there are several options for affordable tickets, including $25 tickets for students, seniors and military. For more information on these offers, you can contact the Box Office at 213.972.8001 or LA Opera Website.
